WHAT WILL THE COURSE COVER?

Our course has been designed to adhere to the requirements of NVQ Level 3 hair design. This involves learning a variety of techniques which will allow you to create numerous different bridal hairstyles, from classical design to traditional and modern looks that can be adapted to suit bridesmaids, maids-of-honour, the bride and mother of the bride. Hairpieces will also feature in this course. You will also learn how to place a tiara and veil into your completed hairstyles.

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?

Our course has been designed to caters for all abilities, from beginner to experienced stylists.

HOW WILL THE COURSE BE TAUGHT?

Our courses are very hands-on. From the start you will go straight into the practicalities of hair design so that you will be learning right away. This method allows you to get to grips with the techniques required and to discover early on how to get results.

WHAT ARE THE LEARNING OUTCOMES?

At the end of a training day you will know the techniques required to create the adaptable styles necessary to provide a wedding hair design service.

WILL I NEED TO BRING A MODEL?

Yes. It is to your benefit to bring a model in as working on real hair is the best way to learn. However, if that is not possible, then a training head can be purchased from us, but, you must let us know in advance.

WILL THE COURSE BE ASSESED?

The purpose of this course is to teach you the skills necessary to successfully complete the styles. You will be supervised and your methods observed to ensure you have a clear idea of how you should be doing your work.

IS THE COURSE ACCREDITED?

This course is not accredited, but you will be taught at the same level as our accredited courses. This gives you the confidence to know that what you are learning is valid, and you can seek accreditation from us at a later date. You will be given a certificate of attendance for each course completed, and these, along with photo evidence, can be used for accreditation purposes.

CAN I PHOTOGRAPH MY WORK?

It is highly recommended that you bring a good camera along so that you can take clear pictures of your work. This serves as a reminder of your training, can be the first entries for your portfolio, and will be needed if you decide to get your training accredited in the future.

WILL THERE BE ANY HOMEWORK?

Practice makes perfect. After you have completed your course, you will be given a manual that covers everything you have learned. You will not be required to show evidence of homework, but it is to your benefit to practise what you have learned.
